Dr. Tiffany Gisel, DVM (Medical Director)

Dr. Gisel grew up in North Florida and spent much of her time on her grandparents’ farm in Iowa, caring for a wide range of animals and developing her passion for veterinary medicine. She earned her degree from St. Matthew’s University and completed her clinical training at the University of Georgia before returning to Florida to practice. She is an active board member of the Pinellas Animal Foundation and a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Association. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys time on the water, staying active, and spending time with her pets.

Dr. Megan Sawyer, DVM (Specialty Surgeon)

Dr. Sawyer is a highly trained surgeon with experience in both emergency and advanced specialty care. She completed extensive surgical training, including internships and a residency, and has worked with a wide range of complex cases. She brings a calm, confident approach to surgery and is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-quality care for every patient.

Dr. Kelli Weaver, VMD, DACVIM (Internal Medicine Specialist)

Dr. Weaver is a board-certified internal medicine specialist with a strong background in complex and chronic conditions. She has years of experience in both emergency and specialty settings and is known for her thoughtful, thorough approach to patient care. She is passionate about helping pets feel their best while supporting owners through every step of the process.

Dr. Samantha McHenry, DVM, CCRV (Acupunture Certified)

Dr. McHenry has a strong focus on rehabilitation and helping pets stay active and mobile. She is passionate about recovery-focused care and enjoys working closely with owners to support each pet’s long-term comfort and quality of life. She brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to every patient she treats.

Dr. Tom Callahan, DVM

Dr. Callahan was raised in Tampa, Florida, and studied at the University of Florida. With over 40 years of experience, he brings a deep appreciation for the relationships built through veterinary care. His favorite part of the job is connecting with pet owners—he loves hearing about their pets’ day-to-day lives and seeing the joy those bonds create. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to live music, and being out on the water.

Danielle DeRosa, DVM, CVA

Dr. DeRosa is a Cat Friendly Certified Veterinarian with special interests in nutrition-focused care, geriatric pain management, and integrative approaches that support long-term health and quality of life.
She values low-stress handling and down-to-earth communication, and enjoys working with pet parents to create treatment plans that feel both effective and realistic. Outside of the clinic, she lives with three cats and a dog—including a spirited Bengal who keeps her on her toes.

Sheila, CVT

Sheila has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field and has worked primarily in small animal practice, with additional experience treating wildlife, avian, and exotic patients. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and friends, staying active, and hanging out with her foster failure dog, MooMoo, and her cat, Ellie Nugg.

Courtney, CVT

Courtney graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 2011 with a degree in Veterinary Technology and became certified shortly after. She moved to Florida in 2017 to be closer to family and has a special interest in small animal behavior and nutrition. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her Cairn Terrier, Audrey, who is almost 13 years old.

Liz, CVT

Liz has over 16 years of experience in veterinary medicine and loves educating clients and supporting their pets’ overall health. She especially enjoys connecting with pet owners and helping them feel confident in their care decisions. Outside of work, you can usually find her paddle boarding with her dog Pancake or enjoying time outdoors.

Adrianna, Certified Medical Assistant

Adrianna was born and raised in Florida and graduated from Tarpon Springs with her Certified Veterinary Assistant degree. She is currently enrolled at Eckerd College studying veterinary medicine and has enjoyed learning and working at Hope and Love for almost three years. Her time in the field has only deepened her passion for animal care.

Natalie, Veterinary Assistant

Natalie was born and raised in Florida and is currently working toward a biology degree at St. Pete College with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. She loves spending time with her two dogs, Evie and Nacho, and brings that same love of animals into her work each day. She also enjoys reading when she’s not at the clinic.

Elizabeth, Client Care Supervisor

Elizabeth is passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every client who walks through the door. A Florida native, she loves building meaningful connections with pet owners and treating every visit with care and attention. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and her dog Tonks, who has been by her side for over a decade.

Mysti, Client Care Specialist

Mysti has a lifelong love for animals and a background caring for a wide range of species. Originally from Texas, she grew up around horses and rescue animals, which shaped her passion for animal care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, her fiancé, and their many pets, often exploring the outdoors together.
